Historical building (now M. K. Čiurlionis House), Savičiaus g. 11

Having settled in Vilnius, M. K. Čiurlionis rented a room in the apartment number 6 in this house from November of 1907 to June of 1908. He carried out a lot of works important for Lithuanian culture while living here: organized the Second Lithuanian Art Exhibition, composed his cycle of piano landscapes Marės (The Sea), wrote voice parts for the choir, and gave lessons. M. K. Čiurlionis’ future fiancée and wife Sofija Kymantaitė visited this apartment. The building is marked with a commemorative plaque (bronze relief by Leonas Pivoriūnas, font by Albertas Gurskas).
