In the 19th century, the musicians of Prince Bogdan Ogiński Music School and the orchestra resided in this building. Upon arrival in Rietavas, the musicians of the Prince Michał Ogiński’s Plungė Orchestra also stayed here. Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, a student of Plungė Music School in 1889–1892, was among them.
