The priest Vincentas Jarulaitis registered the marriage of M. K. Čiurlionis and S. Kymantaitė at the Church of St. Mark the Evangelist (built in 1875) in Šateikiai on 1 January 1909. The couple chose a more secluded place, which evoked precious memories for both young people. On his travels with the M. Ogiński Manor orchestra, M. K. Čiurlionis gave several concerts in the beautiful Manor owned by counts Pliateriai in Šateikiai.
