Vilnius Railway Station was the point of departure and return for M. K. Čiurlionis’ travels to Pariečė, Mažeikiai, Warsaw and St. Petersburg. On 31 March (new 13 April) 1911, a train from Warsaw brought the remains of an artist. He died in Pustelnik (Marki). From Vilnius Railway Station the funeral procession proceeded to the Rasos Cemetery.
