It was one of the most-liked music venues of Rietavas and Plungė orchestras. Northwards the terrace opened with a breath-taking panoramic view of the Ogiński residence and southwards it offered an equally impressive view of the park access with the mirrors of the Lelijų (Lilies) and Malūno (Mill) ponds. Behind them stretched the walls of the central part of the city and the glowing silhouettes of the towers of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. At the beginning of the 20th century, when the musical traditions of Rietavas extinguished, the Musicians’ Terrace also collapsed. During the Soviet era, the vaults of the ice cellar were also demolished. At present, the fosterers of Rietavas’ cultural heritage have taken concrete steps to restore the Musicians’ Terrace. Among other things, it is related to the name of M.
