Meilės kalnelis (The Hill of Love), surrounded by romantic legends, is located in the north-western quarter of Rietavas Park. It could also be called the Musicians’ Hill, because the musicians of the Ogiński Orchestra, and very likely M. K. Čiurlionis as well, were especially fond of performing and entertaining on its southern slope. Meilės ašarų tvenkinėlis (The Pond of Tears of Love) at the foot of the hill relates to many tears that the maidens from the Manor shed here while awaiting for their loved ones.
