The building housed the Mikhail Treskin School of the Imperial Russian Music Society. On its premises the constituent assembly of the Lithuanian Art Society was held on 2 (15) September 1907, in which M. K. Čiurlionis also participated.
In the beginning of winter of 1907, a memorial evening dedicated to V. Kudirka took place here, during which M. K. Čiurlionis was performing in Vilnius for the first time. He also gave a concert in this hall in February 1908.
