In February 1908, M. K. Čiurlionis gave a concert with Vilniaus Kanklės choir led by him at the then City Theatre Hall. In April of the same year, he was in the audience at the production of J. Słowacki’s Mindowe. Król litewski (Mindaugis, the King of Lithuania). The lead female role was played by his fiancée Sofija Kymantaitė.
