In this building of Renaissance, Classicist and Historicist architecture styles the Lithuanian bookstore headed by Marija Piaseckaitė-Šlapelienė was open in February of 1906. Assumedly, M. K. Čiurlionis visited the bookstore. The owner of the bookstore, the performer of the lead role in the premiere of opera Birutė, was a member of Vilniaus Kanklės choir led by M. K. Čiurlionis.
